What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic has only one goal: spinal alignment. Spinal alignments (called subluxations) can occur from injury, lack of exercise, dehydration, poor eating habits, emotional and physical stresses. The Chiropractor's objective is to locate and correct the misalignments to a balanced state.

How is the spinal alignment done?

Dr. Gilbert uses her hands to put pressure on your spine in specific places to correct the misalignment. In some instances, she may use instruments to assist her.

Does it hurt?

No. Chiropractic is safe for all ages. Dr. Gilbert has experience in aligning people as young as 11 days old to as old as 98 years young.

How much time does it take?

The time it takes to correct misalignments varies. It may take as little as three minutes. Much depends upon the length of time the misalignment has existed, your age, past history, habits, and present level of stress. As everyone is different, some patients respond faster and others more slowly.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture balances energy fields that influence disease, much like fine tuning a radio to remove static. It has been used successfully for thousands of years.

How is Acupuncture done?

Acupuncture can be performed with or without needles. Other techniques include laser acupuncture, microcurrent, and electromeridian imaging.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

No. The lasers are completely painless. If needles are used, a slight pinching effect may occur, which usually subsides quickly. It is safe to use on all ages, from infants to the elderly.

How much time does acupuncture take?

The time needed depends upon your condition and symptoms. In general, a treatment can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes.

Dr. Gilbert has a wide variety of pharmaceutical grade natural products: Chinese herbs, liquid vitamins, supplements, powders, tinctures, homeopathies, meal replacement bars, teas, and lozenges.
